My Passion
Momma Bear Cheesecakes is a passion project born out of 50 years of baking experience. Every cheese cake is individually crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail. Our time-tested recipes and artisanal approach set us apart, making each cheesecake a delightful masterpiece.


My Story
Meet Momma Bear
I have been baking for 50 years—I used to help my mother with her cakes and cookies, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, and any other meals she was preparing. My recipe file is full of recipes handed down from several generations within my family, and I have used them so much over the years that I have had to rewrite them to keep from losing them. In the past 5 years, I started specializing in cheesecakes; once I had the right recipe and cooking times perfected, I branched out from there. I’ve tried a number of different types of cheesecakes, but my two favorites are the Basque (gluten-free) cheesecake, and the classic New York style cheesecake. These are good plain, or you can top them with your favorite berries or sauce.
Having shared my cheesecakes with families and friends, I’ve been told they exceed the quality and taste of cheesecakes from fine dining restaurants. Living in Alaska, it’s difficult to find quality cheesecakes that are made fresh and are available within 24 hours of ordering.
Any cheesecakes that may be overnighted from the lower 48 are bought at a premium due to exorbitant shipping costs, and they have been pre-made, so are at least 3-4 days old when you receive them.
My cheesecakes are made from scratch the day before you wish to pick them up (they cool in the refrigerator for 24 hours prior to pick up), and are ready to serve at your family gathering, work celebration, or simply as a decadent treat for yourself!

From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, Momma Bear Cheesecakes adds a touch of sweetness to every occasion. Our bespoke cheesecakes are perfect for weddings, birthdays, and corporate events, creating sweet memories for you and your guests.
It takes a minimum of 24 hours to properly prepare each cheesecake. Please plan accordingly. Cheesecakes are available for pickup between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the agreed upon date of delivery.

At Momma Bear Cheese Cakes, we source the finest local and international ingredients to create our delectable cheese cakes. Every bite is a testament to our commitment to quality and taste.
Basque – originating in the Basque Country of Spain, these cheesecakes (also known as Basque Burnt Cheesecake or Tarta de Queso) is a crustless, gluten-free cheesecake with a caramelized top (thus the “burnt” description). These cheesecakes have an extraordinarily creamy, flan-like consistency, with the richness of the classic cheesecake.
Classic New York – while the origins of this dessert are still debated, with some claiming cheesecakes date back to ancient Greece, the classic cheesecake we know and love today is credited to Arnold Reuben, a German-born restaurateur, who introduced his creation in the 1920s. My recipe follows the original and bakes into a dense, sweet confection with a traditional graham cracker base.
All my cheesecakes use fresh, high-quality dairy and eggs, and are flavored with authentic Mexican vanilla, brought back to the states from my travels to Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, and Cabo.
